What Songwriting Services Cover
The songwriting service at StudioToGo is co-writing, not ghostwriting. We work alongside you to develop and shape your ideas — the starting point is always something from you, whether that's a melody idea hummed into a voice note, a lyrical concept, a theme you want to explore, or a feeling you're trying to capture in music.
What we bring is an understanding of song construction — how to build a hook that lands, how to develop a verse that earns the chorus, how to make a bridge feel like release rather than interruption, and how to write lyrics that say something specific without being clumsy about it. These are craft skills that can meaningfully improve a song without replacing the artist's voice.
What We Can Help With
Melody development — taking a rough melodic idea and refining it into a strong, memorable line. Hook writing — crafting the central repeated phrase that anchors the track. Lyrical refinement — taking your lyrical ideas and improving clarity, imagery, and metre. Song structure — working out where each section sits and how they connect. We can contribute to one of these areas or all of them depending on what the song needs.
Credit and ownership: You keep writing credit unless you specifically ask us not to be credited. We don't claim ownership of songs we co-write. All agreements are explicit and confirmed before the session starts.
Working Alongside Production
Songwriting works best when it happens alongside production rather than before or after it. When the beat is being built and the arrangement is taking shape, writing decisions are informed by what the music is doing — the syllable patterns, the melodic space, the emotional register. We frequently combine songwriting sessions with production and recording in a single extended session.
What You Get
- Developed melody and lyric — shaped in collaboration with you
- Voice memo or demo recording — so the ideas are captured and not lost
- Writing credit arrangement — agreed before the session starts
Pricing
Songwriting sessions are billed by the hour at standard studio rates. A single song session typically runs 2–4 hours depending on how much development is needed. For combined production and writing sessions, we use the extended session rate. Message us on WhatsApp to discuss your project.
