Can you record anywhere in Dubai?

Yes — we come to any location in Dubai including home studios, villas, hotel rooms, rehearsal spaces, offices, rooftops, and outdoor locations where conditions permit.

What if the room has bad acoustics?

We address poor acoustics with microphone positioning, the Kaotica Eyeball (which isolates the mic from room reflections), and portable acoustic treatment panels. Some rooms are more challenging than others, but most furnished spaces are workable.

What equipment do you bring?

Neumann U87 Ai microphone with Kaotica Eyeball, UAD Apollo Twin X, MacBook Pro M3 Max, Presonus Eris E5 portable monitors, portable acoustic panels, stands, cables, and the same DAW software as Studio A.

Is the quality as good as recording in a studio?

For vocals in a properly prepared space, the quality can be very close to studio standard. There are limitations compared to a fully treated studio environment, but for most recording needs the mobile setup produces excellent results.

How much space do you need to set up?

Minimal. The mobile kit fits comfortably in a bedroom or small living area. We typically need an area of roughly 2m x 2m for the recording position and space for a small desk or flat surface for the interface and laptop.

Do you record outdoors?

We can record in outdoor spaces with appropriate conditions — low ambient noise, wind management, good access. Outdoor recording is weather and environment dependent. Message us with your specific outdoor location and we'll advise on feasibility.

What's the minimum booking time?

One hour is the minimum booking. Note that setup takes approximately 20–30 minutes of that hour, so for a single song session, a 2-hour booking is more practical.

Recording Outside the Studio

Not every recording session needs to happen in a dedicated studio. Sometimes the right environment is a specific space — a villa with a particular character, a rooftop with a view, a home studio that an artist is comfortable working in, or a rehearsal room where a band has been developing their sound. The StudioToGo mobile kit brings professional recording capability to any of these locations without compromising on the quality of what's captured.

The Studio C kit includes the Neumann U87 Ai with Kaotica Eyeball (for vocal isolation in non-treated spaces), UAD Apollo Twin X, MacBook Pro M3 Max running Pro Tools, Ableton, and Logic, Presonus Eris E5 portable monitors, and portable acoustic treatment panels for the most reflective environments. The engineer handles setup, levels, and monitoring — you focus on the performance.

Managing Acoustics in Non-Studio Spaces

The biggest challenge in location recording is acoustics. Untreated rooms produce reflections and coloration that aren't ideal for recording. We address this through microphone positioning (closer placement reduces room pickup), the Kaotica Eyeball (which creates a micro-isolation environment around the mic capsule), portable acoustic panels for the most problematic reflections, and engineer judgement on when a room is workable and when it isn't.

Tips for choosing a space: Rooms with soft furnishings — thick carpets, heavy curtains, sofas, bookshelves — absorb reflections naturally. Hard-surfaced rooms (tiled floors, glass walls, bare concrete) are the most challenging. A bedroom or furnished living room is often surprisingly workable.
