Do I need to tell the hotel I'm doing a recording session?

It's worth mentioning to the hotel that you'll have a visitor bringing equipment. There's nothing problematic about it — it's a laptop, a microphone, and some stands — but it avoids any confusion when we arrive.

How long does setup take?

Approximately 20–30 minutes. This is included within the session time, so a 2-hour booking gives you roughly 90 minutes of actual recording time.

What do you do about noise from the hotel — lifts, corridors, air conditioning?

We identify the main noise sources in the room first and position microphones to minimise pickup. For air conditioning units, we may need to turn them off for recording and back on between takes. Corridor and corridor noise is managed through microphone placement.

Do you carry hotel room sessions for bands or groups?

Hotel room sessions work best for solo vocalist recording or small acoustic setups. A full band in a hotel room isn't practical. For larger setups, the on-location service at a rehearsal space is more appropriate.

Can I get the recording mixed after the session?

How quickly can you respond to a last-minute hotel session request?

We try to accommodate same-day requests where possible. Message us as early as you can and we'll confirm whether we're available. Advance booking is always more reliable.
